I'm "Left of Left" (Memphis Flyer)

This week's Memphis Flyer has an article about me Left of Left: Protest Candidate Jim Maynard Offers An Alernative to Harold Ford Jr.

I want to thank Leftwing Craker for his endorsements, even though he says I only have one issue. Read the Flyer article or go to My Website and you'll see that I have many issues besides gay rights: universal health insurance, getting out of Iraq, separation of church and state... things progressive Democrats are supposed to stand for...

Mr. Maynard-

I'd just like to say that I thought your profile in the Flyer came off very well. As a young progressive who is frustrated with the gross similarities between most Republicans and Democrats, it was incredibly refreshing to see someone championing almost everything I believe in. And under the Democratic Socialist banner, no less! I didn't think Memphis was capable of producing more than one. For the longest time my theme song here might as well have been Al Green's "I'm So Tired of Being Alone," but now I see that movements like the Midsouth Peace and Justice Center, Democracy for Memphis, and your campaign offer some hope. So thank you for helping show one voter a side of Memphis he didn't think existed!
